Our Mission

In spite of their size, horses are vulnerable creatures. Because of this, horse owners are known to put their own lives at risk by not evacuating in the event of natural disasters, due to the fact that they cannot leave their horses behind.

With this web site we hope to provide a nationwide network of people who can help horse owners in the event of disasters such as hurricanes, fires, floods, etc.

How You Can Help

If you have a safe place to take in one or more horses whose owners need to evacuate from their area, please consider listing your information by submitting your information.

If you can help with the transportation of horses during disasters, please get yourself listed here.

We also need 'legal eagles' to help us with the liability waivers for all states.

And last but not least: Please spread the word. This project was started on March 15, 2005 and is still in its baby shoes. Print out the flyer and hang it in your local feed store, horse shows, post office, veterinarian, farrier, etc.

Send mail to EEEVAC with questions or comments about this web site.
