Joe

Joe, a black TWH gelding, was originally purchased by our friends at the B&D Barn in December 2001. At the time, he was approximately 15 years old, and in very poor shape. What was the worst about his condition isn't even visible on the pictures that were taken at the time - his feet were so bad with thrush that the farrier couldn't even touch them at first.

When we visited Joe in the following month, he put his head on Dick's shoulder and followed him all over the place. Thinking that Dick had found "his horse", the decision was quickly made. We brought Joe over to our place. As is turns out, Joe became my riding horse. He is extremely affectionate, as lovable as a puppy dog, give him a chance and he'll slobber all over you.
